Spotlight on Pete Jardine, Assistant Instructor

I started training in Martial Arts at age 11, Lau Gar Kung Fu. I trained for 2 years but gave up when I started secondary school. I started ECKA in January 2010. My goal was to achieve my first Dan black belt by age 40 (I passed age 38!).

I have enjoyed competing throughout my years with ECKA,  I won the MK Open Semi and Continuous in 2013 and have been runner up 6 times before.  I had to take 2 years out of competing in 2016 due to a major hip operation, but delighted to return and win the 2018 Light Continous ECKA Nationals!  After 2 second places and even more 3rd places,  I was starting to think it would never happen!

I have also ran the London Marathon in 2015, 5 half marathons and 2 obstacle races. In my spare time….only kidding don’t have any!
